CYPE VR Laboratory Series
For safe and easy-to-understand experiments
Two new products are now available as part of the CYPE VR Laboratory series: the VR Experiment Education System (CYPE VRL-001) and the Cyber-Physical Experiment System (CYPE VRL-002).
The “VR Experiment Education System” creates virtual experimental equipment by modeling a real laboratory, and allows students to operate knobs, switches, and other items that have been converted into 3D data in VR. Students listen to the instructor avatar, operate the virtual lab equipment, and perform the experiment training.
Furthermore, the “Cyber-Physical Experiment System” links real experimental equipment with robots, etc., so that operations on virtual experimental equipment can be reflected on real machines and fed back as videos on the VR. Since the status of the students’ operation can be acquired as data, the effectiveness of the training can be analyzed.
The CYPE VR Laboratory solves various problems such as lack of time for learning on actual equipment, and aims to improve students’ motivation to learn by promoting their experiential understanding through remote control and simulation.
VR Experiment Education System
[ CYPE VRL-001 ]
Instruction and simulation of experiments using VR experimental equipment and avatars
Features
Deformed expression using VR
Students can go inside the experimental equipment on the VR and observe it closely to learn how it works.
Easy-to-understand experimental instruction using avatars
By pre-recording and releasing the VR content explaining the experiment as well as the VR lecture, students can watch it repeatedly at any given time to understand the content.
Support for remote group collaboration
Multiple people (up to 10) can perform the experiment while communicating with each other. In addition, the AI can act as an instructor to explain the experimental method (provided as an option).
Product Breakdown
1. Interactive model of VR laboratory and VR experimental equipment
The 3D data of a real laboratory and experimental equipment can be made available in VR. The movable parts of the experimental equipment (doors, etc.) are movable just like the real ones.
2. VR experiment instruction recording system
Instructor can create and publish VR contents in advance, in which an instructor avatar explains the experimental method.
3. VR realtime communication system
Realtime communication between students participating in the experiment and the instructor is possible through gestures and voice using avatars.
4. Cloud Services
We also provide Web services to manage VR contents related to the experiment and to easily monitor the participation status of students.
Cyber-Physical Experiment System
[ CYPE VRL-002 ]
A new remote experiment that links real and VR experimental equipment.
Features
Remote experiment using actual equipment
Students can operate the real experimental equipment from VR and learn from the actual results.
How to physically operate the actual machine
Robotic arms and IoT devices can be used to accurately reflect the operations on the VR to the real experimental equipment.
Intuitive operation using the VR gloves
By using the “VR glove” with tactile and force feedback functions, the VR experimental equipment can be operated intuitively using both hands.

Two-step authentication for enhanced security,
safer and more secure services
- CYPE Extended Cloud Service also takes security into consideration, encrypting authentication so that individuals cannot be identified and tracked based on their user ID alone.
- Access to students’ personal information (name, affiliation, content viewing history, etc.) by administrators and faculty members is highly secure with a two-step authentication system.
